In industrial transport, flexibility and foresight separate the elite haulers from the rest. That’s why Hamilton doesn’t just build trailers—we engineer solutions that adapt.
Take our latest custom Hercules Fifth-Wheel Steer Trailer, designed for a specialty steel manufacturer to haul an 1,850-gallon free-standing tank safely across its campus. This beast—83 inches wide, 144 inches long, and rated for 20,000 pounds—is designed for power towing, rolling smoothly on press-on polyurethane wheels over concrete and asphalt.
The tank stays locked down with four structural steel straps, while internal baffles prevent liquid slosh for a steady ride at 3-5 MPH. And when it’s time to park? A tongue-actuated brake automatically engages when the tongue is stowed upright.
By mounting the tank ourselves during the build to ensure a proper fit, Hamilton caught a mismatch between the straps and the tank—a discovery that saved the customer from costly delays and rework. That’s why we engineer adaptability into every design. Need a perfect fit? We’ll mount your equipment in-house. Need custom mounting holes or added bracing? Consider it done.
That’s precision on lockdown.
