A trailer so nice, the customer bought it twice

We love when our heavy-duty trailers are such a hit that our customers keep coming back for more.

As was the case with this beauty we designed for one of the world’s top manufacturers of construction and mining equipment. The challenge? Moving a 35,000-lb load, both indoors and out over rough concrete.

We based the design off our powerhouse Hercules line—fitting, right? Our most popular model, HERC-POY4896-20000, served as the blueprint. But with some creative engineering, we turned a stock trailer into a custom-made workhorse. This trailer needed to be a multi-tasker, moving heavy equipment across both smooth warehouse floors and rough outdoor terrain. We beefed up the 6-foot by 13-foot frame, added dual-mounted 15x9 press-on rubber tires, and made sure the load’s center of gravity was lowered for extra stability. The softer rubber tread adds more traction, perfect for towing over rough roads or even wet asphalt.

A custom superstructure with a tall I-beam allows for plenty of access underneath for lifting. Round slugs secure the load during transit, while the lifting shackles can be used to crane-lift the entire trailer or serve as lashing points to lock everything down securely.

This Hamilton-engineered beast not only gets the job done but does it with the kind of stability and durability our customer needed. In fact, they loved it so much, they didn’t just stop at one—they ordered a second. And, wouldn’t you know it, a third is on deck.

Because who wouldn’t want a double dose of heavy-duty productivity?
